Director’s Statement

JACOB When I read the script for this film, I spent a lot of time thinking about what I used to watch as a kid. Ever since I started watching television, sitcoms always fascinated me, the way these characters keep getting into similarly uncomfortable situations and miraculously escaping them in under twenty minutes always felt preposterous, an idea formed, maybe these characters weren't making their own choices and were putting themselves in uncomfortable situations on the command of some hidden figure.
